The Middle road

As a young girl I’d often wonder about this phenomenon. In order to contemplate how he could make himself invisible in a room filled with people I had to learn to do the same, in order to spend time watching him in awe. What I do when I am blue...

My mother says, "whenever your feeling your worst is when you should look your best." When things aren't going my way and I find myself feeling low, the last thing I want to do is - anything. Literally i'd rather pick up the remote find a groove in the couch sit there and veg out. When I am unhappy its very hard to get motivated, especially on weekends when its not necessarily a requirement to get up and go. During these moments I employ my mothers techniques and for me its grooming that I love. I take out my box filled with nail supplies, I give myself a manicure and pedicure. I soak my fingers and toes, remove cuticles, file and paint them...

Pick up any magazine, walk down any business or self-help aisle to see scores of titles concerning winning. How to win, how to succeed, stories about success, articles about how you can succeed too. Well i'm sick of it. I think that largely we are all rushing to the outcome and forgetting about the journey. There is real reward in the journey. The journey makes you strong and resilient, it teaches you all you'll ever need to know about yourself and your personal power. A journey can introduce you to yourself and give you purpose.
